- What is the capital of Ohio for the civics test?
- Columbus. That is the accepted answer to civics question 62, “What is the capital of your state?”, for Ohio residents.
- Who is the governor of Ohio now?
- Mike DeWine. Officers accept the last name alone, so “DeWine” is enough. Governors change after elections — confirm before your interview.
- Who are the U.S. senators for Ohio?
- Bernie Moreno and Jon Husted. Question 23 asks for only one of your state's senators, so naming either one is correct.
- How do I find my U.S. representative in Ohio?
- Representatives depend on your congressional district, not just your state. Enter your ZIP code in the practice app and we fill in the correct Ohio representative for you.
- Is the Ohio version of the test different?
- No. Every applicant takes the same 2025 civics test of 128 questions; only the capital, governor, senator, and representative answers change with where you live in Ohio.
