- Sacramento. That is the accepted answer to civics question 62, “What is the capital of your state?”, for California residents.
- Who is the governor of California now?
- Gavin Newsom. Officers accept the last name alone, so “Newsom” is enough. Governors change after elections — confirm before your interview.
- Who are the U.S. senators for California?
- Alex Padilla and Adam Schiff. Question 23 asks for only one of your state's senators, so naming either one is correct.
